Our Beliefs
This Church accepts the Bible as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice, and for the purpose of maintaining general unity of statements of faith. These statements do not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
The Bible
We believe the Scriptures both Old and New Testament are the inspired, infallible revelation of God to man and the authority of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16,17)
One God
The one true God has revealed Himself as the "I AM," the Creator, and Redeemer of mankind. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Isaiah 44:8; II Corinthians 13:14).
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures declare His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death and resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of God. (1 Timothy 3:16; Romans 3:25,26)
Salvation
Man's only hope is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is by faith through grace and demonstrated in repentance. (Hebrews 9:22; Jude 24, 25)
Sanctification
We believe that sanctification, holiness, and the overcoming life is God’s design for the Church, which is the Bride of Christ. (Ephesians 5:25-27)
The Church
The Church is the body of Christ, the representative of Jesus on earth and is to carry out the Great Commission. (Colossians 1:18; Matthew 28:18-20)
Water Baptism
We believe that water baptism is for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and is to be administered by immersion, thus bearing witness to the gospel of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection for us, and our own new life in Him. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4)
Communion
We believe that Communion, when shared by believers, witnesses to the saving power of the gospel, to Christ’s presence in His church, and looks forward to His victorious return. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
Ministry
A divinely called and scripturally ordained minister has been provided by God to lead the church in evangelization, worship, building the body, and general leadership of the church. (Mark 16:15-20; John 4:23,24; Ephesians 4:11,16; Psalms 112:9)
Tithes
The first ten percent of our income belongs to the Lord, offerings that are given willingly and alms that are given to the poor. (Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:7)
Divine Healing
The healing of the body by divine power, or divine healing in its many aspects as practiced by the early church. This was provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of all believers. (1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:16-17; Acts 3:1-22; 4:30; James 5:14-15).
Marriage
We believe that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime and is a sacred institution established by God. (Matthew 19:4-6)
Blessed Hope
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church. (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; Titus 2:13)
Millennial Reign
The second coming of Christ includes the rapture and a return to earth by Christ with His saints for a thousand year reign. (Zechariah 14:5; Matthew 24:27,30; Revelation 1:7)
Final Judgment
There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43- 48; Revelation 19:20; 20:11-15; 21:8)
New Heaven & Earth
All of God's children will reign forever in a new heaven and a new earth. (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21, 22)
